In Commemoration of International Day of Sign Language 2025
Theme: "Sign Language Unites Us"
Celebrating the occasion of the Covenant Day of Favour service held at the State Headquarters of Living Faith Church Abeokuta, which also doubles as Bishop David Oyedepo's 71st Birthday Congregational Celebration and Thanksgiving.
The celebration, tagged Nativity Sunday, showcased colourful attire from various units and particularly the pastorate adorning Agbada attire. The day further highlights the importance of sign language rights for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, emphasizing that full participation and dignity can only be achieved when their language rights are recognized and respected.
Outstanding Contributions:
In recognition of their outstanding contributions, the State Pastor reflected on the importance of physical appreciation, knowing that God is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
We proudly recognize Dr. Mrs. Ololade Nnamani and Mr. Theophilus Okedokun for their dedication to promoting sign language rights and inclusivity in Living Faith Church Quarry Abeokuta.
This certificate of recognition honors their commitment to creating a more accessible world for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
As we celebrate International Day of Sign Language, it is evident that their labour of love will not go unrewarded, for God is not unjust to forget our works and labour of love (Hebrews 6:10).
The Chairperson of the Church Board, Dcns Folakemi Adediran, said the initiative is commendable, as such will encourage the beneficiaries to do more. She further emphasized that selfless service in the house of God is a sure path to divine rewards and fulfillment, encouraging all members to emulate the exemplary dedication of Dr. Nnamani and Mr. Okedokun.
