Celebrating the First Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oluseyi Adewole Ayodeji Adediran, ANIM, CIAPL, The Otileta I, Towulade of Owu Akinale

Saturday, 25th July, 2026, will forever be etched in the annals of Owu Akinale Kingdom as a day of history, gratitude, and renewed hope.

From the first drumbeat at dawn, the ancient town came alive. Royal canopies stretched across the towns event Square, cultural troupes filled the air with Bata and Gangan rhythms, and the scent of tradition mingled with pride. It was not just another ceremony. It was homecoming. It was thanksgiving. It was history in motion.

The people had gathered for two milestones that became one: the 1st Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oluseyi Adewole Ayodeji Adediran, The Otileta I, Towulade of Owu Akinale, and the 10th Owu Akinale Day Celebration.

Royal fathers, eminent statesmen, government officials, captains of industry, corporate organisations, development partners, clergy, and illustrious sons and daughters of Owu Akinale flew in from across Nigeria and the diaspora to honour a monarch who, in just 12 months, has turned a crown into a covenant of service.

One Year of Transformational Leadership
In just one year on the throne of his forefathers, His Royal Majesty has redefined what it means to wear the crown.

The palace doors have opened wider. Youths found mentors. Women found a voice. Students found scholarships. Communities found a monarch who walks among them, not above them.

His administration has championed  pillars such as_: Education, Youth Empowerment, Healthcare Advocacy, Infrastructural Development, Investment Promotion, Cultural Preservation, and Peace-Building. Under his watch, Owu Akinale has begun to blend the weight of heritage with the speed of modern development — without losing its soul.

Standing firmly beside the monarch is Her Royal Majesty, Olori Deaconess Oluwafolakemi Oluwatoyin Adediran. With quiet strength, compassion, and a heart for humanitarian service, the Queen has complemented the King’s vision. Through her foundation and community outreaches, she has become the face of care for widows, the girl-child, and vulnerable families in the kingdom.

“True kingship is not in the splendour of the crown,” His Royal Majesty has demonstrated through action. “It is in the quality of service to humanity.”
