Rivers crisis: ‘We’ll soon know who’s in charge’ – Wike

Rivers crisis: ‘We’ll soon know who’s in charge’ – Wike Published on January 6, 2024 With the continued crisis in Rivers State, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, said on Saturday that the people will soon know who’s in charge when it’s time for politics. Wike spoke when he visited the South-South Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Victor Giadom, at his Bera country home in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State. According to Wike: “Forget about these hungry noisemakers on the road. When the time comes, we will know who is in charge and who is not in charge. There is a time for everything. This is not time for politics. When the time comes, we will know who is who. If you like, abuse me as you want. If you like, employ everybody on social media. I have never bothered myself one day to know who is abusing me. Politics will come. We didn’t contest election based on social media. We spoke to the people; they listened and believed in us.” On his realignment with Giadom, Wike said: “Party will come and go and friendship will remain. We have made our mistakes. We are all humans but friendship remains.”

  1. Mending bridges already, it’s obvious that right now the Governor is in charge, and has all the power to keep him going like every other Governor.
