The drum starts in Lagos

On a Thursday afternoon in Omole, politics in Lagos shifted from talk to action. In a room filled with grassroots mobilizers, business leaders, and women powerhouses, the YARI 774 INITIATIVE officially launched its Lagos State Chapter — and made one thing clear: Lagos will not sit on the sidelines in 2027.


This is more than an inauguration. It’s the moment the Centre of Excellence took ownership of the movement to deliver Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu again in 2027.


THE MEETING

Held at the Executive Lounge, 451A Damilola Fashade, Omole Phase 1, the session kicked off at 1:06pm and ran deep into hours of strategy, tough questions, and bold resolutions.

Leadership Present


The meeting was chaired by Alhaji Mohammed Sani, Southwest Director of the YARI 774 Initiative.  

He was joined by Hon. Opeoluwa Joel Owodolu, Lagos State Coordinator, and *

Ms. Modupe Jessica Bewaji, State Women Leader.

Ms. Bewaji arrived with a formidable delegation — top women in business, media, billboard and signage — all united to ensure women lead the mobilization drive at the grassroots.

KEY DISCUSSIONS

1. Structure & Data

Hon. Owodolu laid out the mission: build a standardized data system and activate coordinators across all 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs. No guesswork. No gaps.

2. Logistics & Funding 

3. Publicity Blitz 

The chapter resolved to take the YARI 774 message to the streets, markets, media houses, and social platforms immediately.


4. Guarding the Vision 

Members vowed the Initiative must remain grassroots-driven and protected from hijack by party elites.


WORD OF ASSURANCE

Addressing fears of abandonment after victory, Alhaji Mohammed Sani spoke directly:  

“No one is assured of the next minute. But I am standing on the integrity of our National Chairman, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, to ensure that loyalty and sacrifice under this initiative will be recognized and rewarded.”


MEETING EXTENDED

Even after the closing prayer, members stayed back for an open Q&A. Both Alhaji Sani and Hon. Owodolu  addressed concerns one after the other — proof that this leadership is accessible.


WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

With the Lagos Chapter now live, focus shifts to:

- Deploying the data management system statewide  

- Inaugurating LGA and LCDA coordinators  

- Launching a statewide mobilization and media campaign  

- Amplifying women’s leadership through Ms. Bewaji’s team  


The message from Lagos is clear: We are organized. We are ready. And we are delivering.
