LAGOS SETS THE PACE

In its inaugural executive meeting held Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Executive Lounge, 451A Damilola Fashade, Omole Phase 1, the Lagos State Chapter inaugurated its leadership and adopted a strategic roadmap to deliver Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and consolidate the YARI 2031 vision.


The meeting, which commenced at 1:06pm, brought together grassroots leaders, women executives, and stakeholders across Lagos.

WELCOME ADDRESS: "A MOVEMENT FOR ALL LAGOSIANS"

Delivering the welcome address,  Hon. Opeoluwa Joel Owodolu described the gathering as the foundation for a "vibrant, united, and effective" YARI 774 structure in Lagos.

He stressed that the Initiative must be inclusive of youths, women, professionals, artisans, traders, transport workers, traditional institutions, and religious leaders noting that sustainable nation-building requires everyone.


This is more than a meeting. It is the beginning of a formidable and sustainable structure across the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs of Lagos State. Lagos will serve as a model of excellence for other states," he said.


Hon. Owodolu also thanked the national leadership for the confidence reposed in the Lagos team and reaffirmed the chapter's commitment to advance the vision of the movement.


RESOLUTIONS & ACTION POINTS

After robust deliberations, the Lagos State Executive resolved as follows:


1. INAUGURATION COMPLETE  

The Lagos State Chapter was formally inaugurated with a clear mandate: grassroots mobilization for Asiwaju 2027.


2. DATA-DRIVEN STRUCTURE

Immediate rollout of a standardized Data Management System across all 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs for effective tracking, coordination, and reporting.


3. WOMEN LEAD THE CHARGE

Ms. Modupe Jessica Bewaji and her delegation of women leaders pledged full commitment to _women representation and grassroots mobilization_ across Lagos. The women bloc vowed to drive voter education and community engagement.


4. LOGISTICS & FUNDING APPEAL 

Due to rising transportation costs, the chapter appealed to National Chairman, Chief Dr. Ibrahim Emokpaire, for urgent logistics support to enable effective mobilization across the state.


5. IMMEDIATE GRASSROOTS ROLLOUT  

The meeting resolved to _mobilize and inaugurate coordinators_ in all 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs without delay to deepen the reach of the Initiative.


6. STATEWIDE PUBLICITY BLITZ

An aggressive _publicity and public awareness campaign_ will commence across Lagos to sensitize citizens on the objectives of YARI 774 for Asiwaju 2027.


7. SAFEGUARDING THE VISION 

Members expressed concern over possible hijack by party elites. The house resolved that the structure must remain grassroots-driven and loyal to the original vision of Chief Dr. Ibrahim Emokpaire.

ASSURANCE TO GRASSROOTS

Addressing fears of post-election neglect, Alhaji Mohammed Sani assured members that loyalty and sacrifice will be recognized.



“No one is assured of the next minute, but I am standing on the integrity of our National Chairman, Chief Dr. Ibrahim Emokpaire, to ensure that hard work under this initiative will be duly recognized and rewarded,”_ he stated.


The Southwest ADG also encouraged executives who have been sidelined in the past, reiterating the national leadership’s commitment to carry all stakeholders along.


MEETING NOTE

The session ran longer than scheduled due to active participation. After the closing prayer, Alhaji Sani and  Hon. Owodolu hosted an extended Q&A to address members’ questions directly.


CONCLUSION

The Lagos State Executive reaffirmed its total commitment to the success of the YARI 774 Initiative under the leadership of Chief Dr. Ibrahim Emokpaire.  



The chapter pledged to remain vigilant, united, and focused to deliver Lagos State for Asiwaju in 2027, and to lay the foundation for the YARI 2031 strategic roadmap.


The meeting ended on a note of unity, dedication, and renewed vigor.
